Ignorance is the mother of prejudice. I also think that we should do more than "tolerate" each other's faith and practice. It is more positive to accept the differences and celebrate the commonalities. One of the latter is kindness. All faiths and cultures teach us to be kind. Greeting others 'Merry Christmas' or 'Selamat Hari Raya' does not mean we believe in it, it just means we respect others for their beliefs, just like we want them to respect ours.
